So how much piano wire do we need?
by Spider on Oct.30, 2009, under Rants
You’d think my keyboard would be red hot of late, with all the troughing politicians, scandal and Machiavellian shenanigans going on wouldn’t you? Truth be told most of it make my blood pressure rocket so fast I limit myself on news. But the last few weeks not only takes the biscuit, but grabs the whole pack, laughs, and checks our cupboard for any other biscuit related items to steal.
The country is at war, young men and women come home in coffins because of a conflict politicians started, we are in the biggest recession since records began, the government is handing sovereignty away in a vain attempt to get Tony Blair a better paying job as apprentice king of the world, fascism is on the rise, schools, hospitals and transport are in a ruinous state and all they care about are their bloody expenses.
“we need 5 years to adjust to not be able to fleece the taxpayer blind”. What? Excuse me? You need 5 fucking years to adjust to not being able to claim for mortgages that don’t exist? to claim for a house you never stayed in? to having to produce receipts for £400 of food a month?
Sir Stuart Bellend, what a fine figure of an MP. The only time he can be arsed to rouse himself is either to defend his long time troughing buddy and opponent of freedom of information Michael Martin, the first speaker to be forced out in 300 years, or to denounce retrospective changes of rules for the tax payers cash sucking parasites, or to further delay any changes to their allowances. He reckons that not only should there not have been an inquiry that the MPs should have power of veto ofver the changes. In effect, the turkeys get to decide whether to vote for christmas or not.
So it’s ok to change the rules for the little people, for instance on car tax regs, but MPs should be immune? Or if we defraud the tax system on allowance we have to pay it back but MPs should be immune?
How long before they finally get it? They’re now fighting the removal of the golden goodbye. The allowance that sees an MP who loses their seat or stands down pocket between £32,383 and £64,766, depending on age and time served. The first £30,000 is even tax free. Why not just come round my house and piss on the lawn whilst your at it?
It doesn’t matter if your buddies in the accounts office nodded and winked as they autographed your receipt for duck islands, gardening or plasma TVs. They all signed to state expenses “wholly, necessarily and exclusively in relation to the performance of their Parliamentary duties. ”
They lied. They committed fraud, and tried to hide it because they knew they had done so. They should be investigated and prosecuted, hounded from office and pilloried at every opportunity.
Rumours keep flying that some are on “suicide watch”. Good. better men than them have done the “decent thing” over matter far more trivial and with far more dignity and honour.
This lot couldn’t spell dignity and honour without a dictionary, and they’d probably claim for it…
Armageddon Beckons, grab your condoms!

Sir David Attenbrough agrees with me! At last vindication! although sadly not about politicians, firearms or fat kids getting priority parking spots nearer the doors at Tesco’s….
He’s become a patron of the Optimum Population Trust (OPT). An organisation whose main tenet is that the Earth cannot sustain unrestricted population growth. Or as Sir Dave puts it.
I think the problem has a few root causes that are a touch sensitive, ensuring the powers that be shy away from them to preserve those minority votes, but really it boils down to…
Religion (you knew it would didn’t you?). In the 21st century we still have a hitler youth Pope who tries to prevent the billions of sheeple using simple effective family planning and disease prevention. After all condoms help spread AIDS/HIV… you mean you didn’t know?
Human Rights without human responsibilities. OK, I know I may bang on about responsibilities a bit. But why do people think they have a right to spawn? There are thousands of kids in need of a good family home yet we spend millions helping create more through medical advances. It doesn’t effect the length or quality of life, so why is it seen as a “right”?
So what are you going to do about it?
by Spider on May.09, 2009, under Common Sense, Rants, Reviews, Tech
Politicians eh? all money grasping hypocritical scum eh?
Probably true. they’ve plundered tax payers money for all they can. After all My MP Dari Taylor managed to only claim an Additional Costs Allowance of £21,170 last year coming a miserly 335th in the great grab the cash race. that means there are 334 more MPs who managed to justify spending more of your cash on the ACA!
No it would be easy to go over the hideous car crash of political suicide that is the expenses scandal. Better you read your fill of it on Guidos blog or do your own searching at the very comprehensive website TheyWorkForYou.com.
What sadder and says it all about the british media, is that the day they get so worked up about the fact that Babara Follet (Wife of Ken, author worth approx £15,000,000) spent £25,000 of your cash on security patrols after she got mugged. (Do all mugging vicitms get this support?) Four members of the armed forces died on active service in defence of this country. Four families have lost loved ones following orders that originated from this pack of lying thieving scum, who are not fit to clean the boots of the lads dodging bullets.
I despair. But what are you going to do about it? I’ll keep ranting, I even bug MPs with emails from time to time. I always vote. Not voting is a betrayal of every life given in defence of our democracy. So I say again what are you going to?
How to leave the party?
by Spider on May.05, 2009, under Common Sense, Random Thoughts
Right, first up this post is about suicide so if you think it’s going to upset you stop reading now.
Now, this one is close to home for me right now so I make no apologies for being spitting mad. An Aussie Doctor has come to Britain to give advice to those wanting it on methods to terminate their life efficiently. He’ll probably say it’s so as to be painless, less traumatic to the individual (and therefore loved ones) and more effective. Obviously I’m being a bit colder about it than he will be. In short he’s supplying information on how to commit suicide. Notice that it’s the how, not the when, or even the should…
The usual assortment of pro-lifers have criticised such as Alex Russell, the vicar of Pennington and chaplain of Oak Haven Hospice in Lymington, Hampshire, said: “I would always defend someone’s right to voice an opinion about something and to say controversial things…The difficulty may be if people who are psychologically unable to think as clearly as they might, or people who are still quite young and forming their opinions, might be influenced by him inappropriately.” (BBC Website) Funny how a statement starting “I would always defend someone’s right to voice an opinion” usually means exactly the opposite.
Now, I would not dispute that Mr Russell probably is a lovely person, doing good for people in appalling circumstances that I hope I never find myself in. BUT who the hell is he to decide what I should or should not be allowed to know? I suspect “psychologically unable to think as clearly…” actually means anyone who disagrees with my fairy tale book.
How we leave this life should be the ultimate liberty. The one freedom that should never be interfered with. I do not advocate assisting people with it, I don’t even advocate it as a solution, truth be told I’m not sure whether I would consider it or not – I’m fortunate enough that it’s not occurred to me. However it’s their choice, whatever I think is irrelevant. So is whatever Mr Russell thinks or even what you think come to that. We can only hope that they have the chance to make an informed well considered choice, and all the support, advice and care they require. Then can they have the best chance of carrying on, or at least, should they so wish, the choice of a dignified pain free exit. Why should anyone seek to make this more difficult than it has to be?

Just for once, (and it does feel like it almost never happens) some good news from the scum we call politicians. The government got a hiding over the vote to allow Gurkhas to settle in the UK after serving in the armed forces.
About f***ing time.
We seem able to find cash for just about anyone, for bankers bonuses, MPs porn collections, legal aid for people who would then destroy the legal aid system (not to mention our whole way of life), yet our Prime Mentalist even tried to play the “short of cash” card to prevent giving these guys access to the UK.
Given all the things my taxes get wasted on, I will happily pay a bit extra to give these honourable soldiers a retirement they deserve. In fact, take it off the scrounging welfare as a lifestyle, pregnant for a council house, disability faking scum and put it where it can do some good.
Gordon Brown is a disgrace. A traitor to anyone who has served in HM Forces, and the families that support them.
You can follow their campaign here, and the outcome on the BBC here. Sod the so-called apocalypse that is pig-flu, this matters, even if the news outlets try to hide it.
If you’re also in need of cheering up and want to do something to annoy the PM. Sign the most voted on e-petition on the Downing Street web site.
“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to resign”, more people have signed this than voted for Gordon Brown in his constituency.
Note: if you not signing it because youre worried about them getting your email / IP address… then too late. So stop being apathetic and make him chuck his phone at someone else
Come on, stop moaning & make him shit himself!

Downing Street petitions. About as much use as, well, politicians. Normally I’d agree, there’s never been one that has made a single difference to just about anything. But this one should be fun, if for no other reason than if there’s enough signatories we get to see Gordon Brown squirm.
so visit http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/please-go/
You never know, and it’ll be fun…

Damn right. My little absence (mainly due to apathy and christmas) has been banished, and you have our wonderful (second?) Home Secretary to thank. Anyone online today should probably be wearing a black armband to mourn the death of privacy. From this week all your browsing, all your email headers are being logged. By EU mandate, which our liberty bashing government was only too happy to endorse all ISPs have to record and store your online footprints.
What the hell happened to freedom? What happened to innocent till proven guilty? Why are my details and habits to be logged and recorded yet MPs still seek to prevent us looking at what they even spend our money on? Apparently the fact the Home Sec paid for her hubbies Porn with our cash “is a private matter” yet if you buy it legitimately online it’s not. Why should the fact you checked out property in London be thought worthy of recording but you’re not supposed to know ex-defence minister “Buff” Hoon had two houses paid for by us, whilst living in a third rent free, and renting one of the other two.
“But it’s within the rules…”
How many times have I heard this trite rubbish spouted on TV recently. It didn’t wash at Nuremberg and it shouldn’t work for this bunch of freedom hating power-mongers. No-one has died from terrorism in mainland UK for 4 years, yet we constantly have our liberties trashed to fight the unseen terror. Yes, I know these measures help the security services. So would bar-coding every newborn, and forcing you to carry papers at checkpoints everywhere. We don’t do those things because it is wrong.
So is intercepting my communications without good cause.
I signed on the dotted line and served the country. Strange as it may seem, I’m actually quite a believer in freedom and democracy. I was willing do what it took to defend them.
All our supposed public servants seem willing to do is line their own pockets.
Musings

Now then, I know I haven’t written anything in a while (not because I haven’t been getting annoyed at things, trust me). But a couple of things are nagging at me.
Firstly, the whole BNP list thing. Now don’t misunderstand, I think that the BNP are an obscenity. They cloak their narrow minded bigotism and prejudice in a veneer of respectability and play on small minded individuals fears to garner support. They should be fought every step of the way. But should being a member of an (as yet) legal political party preclude you from certain employment? So you could be a BNP councillor sitting on committees deciding police funding, priorities and strategy but you can’t be a policeman? I’m not convinced that is right. Further more I’m not sure I approve of moves by the government to legalise expulsion from a Trade Union purely because of BNP membership. Denying a worker a voice in what may be the main negotiating body for his workplace. Again I’m not convinced that is right.
I cannot bring myself to approve of anonymity for their members however. Political parties seek to control the way we live, our liberties (or given the current crop, the erosion thereof), and how our money is spent on our behalf. I think a better way would be that ALL donations and memberships of ALL political parties should be public information. If you give money, time, resources or just a membership fee to a party then anyone should be able to know. After all, you are seeking to effect the body that controls every aspect of our life, why shouldn’t we know?
This would prevent clandestine backhanders, the Bernie Eccleston bungs, the “mortgages” far in excess of an MPs salary, the loans that never get repaid and show just who is seeking to control us all.
I think if you’re not prepared to stand up and be counted for a parties policies then why the hell should you be allowed to help inflict them on me?

A quick post here, just to keep up with current events. The BNP has accidentally(?) posted their ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP online with personal details to match. I don’t have the patience, inclination or the need for grief to rehost the data, but you can search it here The list of jobs is shocking, in just a couple of minutes I found a School governor in Durham! I recommend having a quick look…
To lighten the mood a little, you can check out the knuckle-dragging nazis response to this on their own forum here. It has some of the funniest comments I’ve read in a long while. (Talk about schadenfreude. For anyone appearing on the list, I realise that has a lot of letters. You can find out what it means here)
+++UPDATE 19 NOV 08+++
The blogspot link has been taken down already. As have any other UK hosts I can find. Unfortunately (well, if you happen to have an IQ < rodent it is) Wikileaks now have it here, and it’s spreading on the torrents. You’ve got to love the internet…..
Face Fuzz Kicks Pain in the Arse
by Spider on Nov.16, 2008, under Common Sense, Greetings, Random Thoughts

Intrigued? Thought you would be. Unfortunately though this is a shameless plug for a buddy raising cash for Movember.
“Movember?” you’re thinking “WTF is that?”… It’s growing Mo’s in November, hence Movember (geddit?!)
Basically, he agrees to try to grow some manly hair. (believe me, it’s a real test for him!) and in return for the opportunity to laugh at, ridicule and embarrass him people cough up some cash in the name of the Prostate Cancer Charity. A worthwhile and for some blokes, damn necessary organisation. So to help fellow blokes basically have less of a pain in the arse part with a few quid now. Come on, you lose more than that in the pub and not even realise.
You can check Pauls page out here complete with pics and links to donate.
